Coronavirus Update: Policy & Procedures


To our clients and partners:

In light of coronavirus and related health concerns, we wanted to make you aware of our enhanced cleanliness and sanitation policies. Architectural Ceramics takes the health and safety of our customers and staff seriously, and we are taking all reasonable measures to ensure a clean and safe environment.

 

Warehouse Pick Ups

Warehouse Sanitization – Throughout the day, our warehouse team is making efforts to sanitize any surfaces that our clients come in contact with including our service desk and doors.


Clean Hands – Our warehouse staff are here to make your tile pick-up as smooth and enjoyable as possible. During this time, we have asked our warehouse team to refrain from handshakes, but they’ll be happy to give a friendly wave or throw up a peace sign.
Warehouse staff are practicing regular handwashing as recommended by the CDC. Extra care is being taken to wash hands between handling tile and interacting with clients and their pick-up vehicles.


Dockside Pickup - You are welcome to come up to our pickup counter as is our standard procedure. However, we are also offering a Dockside Delivery option to encourage Social Distancing.

For Rockville Warehouse: Please call 301-217-4118 or text 240-793-2232 and our warehouse team will bring your pickup order to a loading dock for you.

For Baltimore Warehouse: Please call 410-276-0767 or text 443-829-9412 and our warehouse team will bring your pickup order to a loading dock for you.

 

Shipments & Deliveries

Warehouse Sanitization – Our warehouse teams are practicing enhanced cleaning and sanitization standards while packaging and loading your materials. Our Samples Department is disinfecting all samples prior to shipment as well as wearing gloves when processing incoming/outgoing shipments from vendors.

Clean Hands – Warehouse staff are practicing regular handwashing as recommended by the CDC. Our delivery drivers have been provided with sanitizer and disinfectant wipes.


Our delivery drivers are here to make your tile delivery as smooth and enjoyable as possible. During this time, we have asked our delivery team to refrain from handshakes, but they’ll be happy to give a friendly wave or throw up a peace sign.


Clean Hand-Offs – Between deliveries, our drivers will be sanitizing pens, clipboards and any other tools that are used.

 

Showrooms

Cleaning & Sanitization – We are taking care to sanitize work surfaces, shared spaces and tile samples between appointments. Our showrooms are stocked with extra sanitizing wipes and hand sanitizer for your convenience.


Clean Hands – All ACI employees have been advised to follow CDC recommended hand washing techniques. During this time, we are also taking care to avoid the spread of germs by refraining from handshakes. We are happy to wave or throw up a peace sign!


Virtual Visits - If you would prefer to shop for tile from your home or office, we are happy to assist you via video call appointment on FaceTime or Zoom Meetings or take photos and ship you samples. Ask your designer to schedule a Virtual Visit.

 

Office Visits

Clean Hand-off - We love to visit our design industry partners, but understand many offices are limiting non-essential meetings at this time. Let us know your preferred method to receive samples - we are happy to deliver them personally, drop them in a predetermined space in your office, or ship them via mail services. Our samples department cleans and disinfects all tiles prior to packaging.


Virtual Visits - We are conscious of the varying responses our partner firms and clients are enacting in response to COVID-19, and we want to make it easy to continue with business as usual while keeping health and safety in mind. Ask your sales rep about Virtual Visits via video call, or taking high resolutions photos. We can also ship you whatever samples you may need.
