Porcelain Slab Innovation Panel Event at Architessa

On an early June evening, we had the privilege of hosting a learning panel event at our Rockville location. 

We were "Unveiling the Mystery of Porcelain Slabs" to our local clients and designers both in the commercial and residential field. We had a panel of experts speak on the innovation that is Porcelain Slabs.

It was a night full of networking, learning, and happy hour-ing!

The panel included the following industry experts:

David Benson | President of Architessa

David is the President of Architessa. Architessa sustainably sources tile materials to support the A&D community.

 Ted Higson | Owner, Shop Manager, Counter Culture

Ted, along with Marianna Suriel and Omar Barnhart, opened the first Counter Culture location in the DC Metro area in 2014.

Mark Kingensmith | President, Fairmont Designs, Counter-Culture

Mark is President of Fairmont Designs Hospitality, a custom case goods, and upholstery furniture manufacturer.

Jeb Bender | Mid-Atlantic Sales Manager, EmilAmerica  

 Jeb is the sales manager at Emil America. He has been in the tile industry for 22 years.

Chris Walker | VP Northwest Region, David Allen Company

Chris is the Regional VP for the David Allen Company and Chairman of the ANSI

A108 & TAG ISO TC-189 Committees governing the installation of tile materials.

We had a very conversational Q&A session. (It was my favorite part of the night). I loved deep diving into the newer technology that is large format porcelains.
